SANBI offers basic annual salary of R216 417.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits.

The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to provide administrative support to the Training Unit in terms of WIL student programmes, internships, postgraduate studentships and staff studies.
This position requires a Grade 10, job specific qualification, or equivalent qualification at NQF 2 with 5 years of work experience in the relevant field or a Grade 12, job specific qualification or equivalent qualification at NQF 4 with 4 years of work experience in the relevant field. Higher education qualification/diploma, or equivalent qualification at NQF 5.
The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position: communication skills (both verbal and written), planning and organizing, interpersonal skills and computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel). Previous experience in working on student and intern programme will be advantageous.
Key Performance Responsibilities include:
- Capture and collate applications for WIL student programme, internships, postgraduate studentship
- and postdoctoral fellowships;
- Monitor WIL and internship programme in terms of attendance, work plans, assessment and mentor support;
- Collate staff bursary applications and update study progresses;
- Review monthly expenditure against budget; and
- Digitize archival records.
